HP Spectre x360 (2022) | Intel Gen 12 and OLED display
HP has updated the 13.5-inch and 16-inch HP Specter x360 laptops with Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-H processors. The devices offer up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB SSDs.
As befits a premium laptop series, the updated Specter models have an attractive design, and also offer nice bonuses in the form of four speakers and an OLED display as an option. What sets the 13.5-inch updated model apart from its predecessor, however, is a new 3:2 screen aspect ratio.
The company offers two display options for this model. It can be an IPS matrix with a resolution of 1920 × 1280 pixels, or an OLED touch display with a resolution of 3000 × 2000 pixels. In both cases, the screen occupies 90.1% of the usable area of the front panel of the device.
HP has equipped the 13.5-inch Specter x360 with a 5-megapixel infrared camera that improves image quality in low light, allowing the other party to better see the user during a video call. In addition, the camera supports auto framing (holds the user in the frame as they move), auto backlight adjustment, image noise reduction using AI algorithms, and dynamic audio enhancement. For safety, the chamber is closed with a curtain.
The larger 16-inch upgraded version of the HP Specter x360 offers a choice of Alder Lake-H processors, up to the 14-core Intel Core i7-12700H at up to 4.7 GHz. Optionally, a discrete graphics accelerator Intel Arc A370M is offered here. The video card has eight Xe-cores and eight ray tracing units, and also received 4 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 64-bit bus.
You can choose from an IPS panel with a resolution of 3072 × 1920 pixels and an OLED display with a resolution of 3840 × 2400 pixels. The aspect ratio of the screens is 16:10. The older version of the HP Specter x360 is equipped with 83 Wh batteries.
