HTTYD Toothless Differences In Live Action & Animation
The beloved story of "How to Train Your Dragon" is being adapted once again, this time as a live-action film produced by Universal Pictures. Dean DeBlois, who previously wrote and directed the animated trilogy, is returning to oversee this new project. While some fans have expressed skepticism regarding the necessity of a new adaptation, DeBlois emphasized in an interview with Empire that the narrative of a young Viking forming a bond with a dragon will resonate differently in a live-action format. He stated, “It’s so dialed-up in terms of stakes — having a fully credible, photo-real dragon stomping around trying to kill him.” The first trailer suggests that Toothless maintains his endearing qualities, despite the heightened stakes presented in this new interpretation.
