HULLSLINGER Devlog - 0 - Introductions [In The Description]
So this is the not-so-secret project I've been working on on-and-off over the past year or so. Its a topdown roguelite that involves slinging your ships hull into debris.
Currently the gameplay loop involves breaking down debris with your ship while enemies attack you, with the game revolving around your dash (RAM) and somewhat unusual movement methods (constantly alternating between your less controllable "combat mode" and your more controllable but defenseless mode). There are more bullet hell aspects but those are reserved for "larger" challenges.
It's still very rough around the edges and still in its early stages.
The game has had multiple identity crises, along with multiple things in my own life that has slowed or affected the development, but after seeing that new Hakita video, like many others, I've decided to show it off on Youtube. There is a playable version on Itch.io (https://some-bunny.itch.io/hullslinger-demo) but its rough.
