Developed and published by Dark Energy Digital, Hydrophobia Prophecy is an adventure game with some survival elements. The main hook of this game is the water physics, powered by the HydroEngine, which was impressive and ahead of its time upon the game's release in 2010.

I have mixed feelings about this game. The physics were as advertised and made for an enjoyable play through. The combat however was rough and the most interesting element of it you don't get until the final section of the game. Didn't really matter anyway since it was clunky and cumbersome. The story left a lot to be desired and my knee jerk reaction was that this was a bad game. Upon reflection though, the game kept me moving and entertained enough to see it through. Sadly, the mixed reception to the game nixed the planned sequel so the game ends a bit abruptly with a lot of unfinished business. Overall, I'd say it was worth the low price on steam and I'm happy I got to experience it.
