Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition (Capcom Fighting Collection) - Akuma playthrough
6To think that it's been two decades now since 'Hyper Street Fighter II' saw release for arcades. (That being said, this particular fighting game saw a PlayStation 2 release first before arriving onto arcades and other consoles.) And to think that it's been three decades now since Akuma/Gouki made his debut in 'Super Street Fighter II Turbo' as a secret character. (By the way, Akuma/Gouki here solely reuses sound bites from other characters, and it wouldn't be until 'Street Fighter Alpha' that he, along with many other members of the 'Street Fighter' cast, would truly have a credited voice of his own.)
So yeah, 'Capcom Fighting Collection' is a great fighting game package overall (partly because I can just pick Akuma/Gouki straight away in 'Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition' without the need to input some convoluted codes and whatnot). Now I know that old-school arcade games by nature aren't easy (which is why I decided to tone down the difficulty here), but they do have some interesting stuff (especially when it comes to secret boss fights and whatnot).
