Such a weird place to hide a side area. I only found this area because I was searching for the one Yoshi coin I was missing. And, this area did indeed have that Yoshi coin, along with a 1-up.

So, to find this area, drop into the pit where a gray platform falls in the second half (this is at about 1:03 in the video). Within this area, you'll find a message box that mentions the Swoopula enemies. These guys latch onto you and drain your coins. If your coins run out, you'll start taking damage. Shake them off by rapidly pressing the directional buttons.
