Mmm... Chocolate...

So, first of all, here's the intro cutscene for this event, in case you haven't seen it yet:

Basically, we gotta get chocolate. Lots of it. 50,000 pieces total, in fact. So, there'll be many pieces of chocolate strewn about the playing board, and more pieces will spawn throughout the match (in a "Chocolate Frenzy!" event, sort of).

Simply walking over the chocolate lets you collect it. You don't have to land squarely on the panels that have chocolate (so, it shouldn't be too big a hassle to retrieve chocolate that's resting on a Boss panel, for instance). It looks like each piece of chocolate you pick up is worth 10, regardless of their color, but several pieces of chocolate can occupy the same panel, so you can get more chocolate that way.

Also, KO-ing the chocolate-flavored Chicken, Seagull, and Robo Ball that now appear during this event can get you more chocolate. And, I'm sure taking out the chocolate boss (whoever it is) gets you a ton as well.

In addition, KO-ing another player in battle allows you to steal half of their held chocolate, and likewise, if you're KO'd in battle, you lose half of your held chocolate to the one that KO'd you. (If it's a mook or the boss, the player that KOs them can get all the chocolate they stole along with what they're initially worth, just like with stars.)

However, there is a way to protect the chocolate you've picked up. If you're holding at least 500 chocolate when you land on a home, you'll store/bank them, and anything that's stored is completely safe and cannot be lost. (Unless you quit the game before it ends, whether it's a rage quit, having to leave for a legitimate reason, or because the lobby broke. I did have a recording attempt just before this one where the lobby did break, darn it.)

In addition, there's a new Gift card that has been added to the game just for this event, and I want to say that the game places 4 of them in the center deck just like how the 8 Hyper cards are put in (but if it's more than 4, let me know). This card is "Sweet Battle!", and while you're holding it, you collect twice as much chocolate as usual. In addition, it can be used as a Battle card to steal 200 chocolate from your opponent for each point of damage you deal. (Interestingly, I think this is the only Gift card right now that can be played as a Battle card.)

Unfortunately, it seems that if you have multiple copies of Sweet Battle in your hand, you don't actually gain 4x, 8x, or 16x chocolate. Evidence of that is in this very video. At about 19:13, I collect 15 pieces of chocolate while holding two Sweet Battle cards, which would normally be worth 150 chocolate, and I only gained 300, not 600. I guess being able to potentially get double double double double chocolate would be too OP.

BTW, like some other Gift cards, Sweet Battle is discarded if you're KO'd, so try to stay alive. Also, like most Gift cards, you can discard Sweet Battle just by using it outside of battle, but there's usually no reason to do that in most cases. (Maybe if you wanted to empty your hand for Aru's Present For You, an enemy Sweet Breaker's Melting Memories, or an enemy Tomato's Waruda Machine...)
