HyperMac is one of a few, if not the only, company currently offering external batteries for the macbook family. Using the magsafe adapter as an interface, the hypermac 222 watt battery can charge my 15in macbook pro for around 24 hours. In fact, this battery also has an open USB port allowing me to charge my iPhone, or other USB device, while my laptop is charging as well. This battery is pricey, at $499.95 for the 222 watt version, but does what it is advertised to do, very well in fact.
