I didn't get a screenshot of the time, but the leaderboards are here: http://steamcommunity.com/stats/342610/leaderboards/646150

HyperRogue is a relatively new game, and there aren't a lot of tricks associated with it. Mostly a speed-run comes down to playing quickly, avoiding the game's many instant-death situations, and getting good RNG on the key spawn. Mouse handling is a big deal; in this run I struggled a lot with not going in the direction I wanted to go in because I was clicking before I'd positioned my mouse correctly.

There is no absolute north or south in HyperRogue, so one of the hardest parts of the game is finding your way back from the key to the Orb of Yendor. Normally the way to do it is by farming up Dead Orbs, which you can leave as bread crumbs. You leave a visible trail in the Icy Land, so getting the key to spawn there saves a huge amount of time.

Avoiding picking up ice diamonds prevents monsters from spawning in the Icy Land, which saves time, but it means you need 10 more treasures from somewhere else. The Jungle is the hardest of the early-game areas, and it's chock full of instant-death traps and general BS, but it's the fastest of the remaining areas that I could have picked. You need 9 different kinds of treasure, so I couldn't just get 10 more from places I'd already been.
