Link, Impa, and Lana have closed all the Gate of Souls for each era, and the next area is Temple of the Sacred Sword, which is where the Master Sword is located. They must awaken three Sealed Statues in order to access the temple, so it is up to Link and his teammates to find the Sealed Statues.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

At the beginning of the video, I show the title screen, if you press R on your Switch Joy Cons, you can scan an amiibo with the NFC touchpoint. In the Wii U version, if you scanned a Link amiibo, you would get the Spinner, which is a Lightning element weapon for Link, but this is no longer the case in Legends and the Definitive Edition.
As this is a Lightning element scenario, the Spinner would be great for this one, but unfortunately you are limited to playing as Link on your first run, so I recommend going with the Hylian Sword.
We get so many cutscenes, where Zelda and Lana reveal the truth to the rest of the group, and we see what Cia is up to, and that she no longer has the mask.
This is the Temple of the Sacred Sword, and we get ambushed by Ghost Troops, so you have to find three Sealed Statue, and you cannot go through the doors as they are locked. Lana will also start searching for the Sealed Statues as well, where Impa, Darunia, and Midna will need to use their abilities to activate them, so you need to defeat as many Ghost Soldiers as you can to get them to their respective statue. Impa will go to the Statue of Servitude, Darunia will go to the Statue of Wave and Flame, and Midna will head to the Statue of Twilight. After some time, something very suspicious happens which involves who is controlling the Ghost Soldiers, and we see that an impostor of Lana is the cause of this. For some strange reason, Lana has an elemental weakness to Lightning, despite that being her primary weapon element, and once you defeat Lana, this will cause the Ghost Soldiers to withdraw, and the Sealed Statues will activate, giving Link entry to the temple. Impa, Midna, and Darunia will withdraw from the battle, and if you capture South Temple, you can get a Sealed Weapon, you must get to the gate, which is guarded by a group of Fiery Aeralfos, so they need to be taken down, that way the Door of Time will open, and Link will pull the Master Sword from the Pedestal, but we get a surprise encounter with Wizzro.
It turns out that Wizzro was the one that commanded the Ghost Soldiers, and he disguised himself as Lana to trick Link and the others. Now that Link has the Master Sword, this should be an easy fight, as the Master Sword is much more powerful than the regular Hylian Sword, but Wizzro is still a tricky foe. Once Wizzro has taken half damage, he will retreat for a sort while, and you have to guide Zelda to the temple, while Wizzro sends enemy reinforcements to attack, so you must take out all the Fiery Aeralfos and Bokoblins, so that way Zelda can safely get to the temple.
Once you have succeeded, Wizzro will be at West Square, which is where the Statue of Servitude is, and defeat him with the Master Sword, allowing you to complete the scenario.
Once the scenario is done, you can play as the other characters, and both Lana and Zelda have collectables that you can find. The Gold Skulltula is underneath a boulder located in the northwest corner of the map, and the Sealed Weapon contains Zelda's Level 2 Rapier, the Gleaming Rapier. South of the Town Entrance, there is a boulder that contains a chest that only Zelda can open, and it will have a Heart Container, while the Heart Piece for Lana can be obtained by capturing North Temple Hall. When you complete this scenario, you will get the Master Sword for Link, so it is time to take on Cia in the next area.
Some nice detail when playing as other characters is that Ruto will take over Zelda's role of leading the Hylian Forces if you play as Zelda, and as for the statues, Fi will activate the Statue of Servitude if you play as Impa, Ruto activates the Statue of Wave and Flame if you play as Darunia, if you play as Midna, it will be Agitha that activates the Statue of Twilight, and if you play as Lana, it will be Fi searching for the Sealed Statues.
