Zero Divide is a robot cyborg? fighting game. There are eight characters to choose from, and you must defeat them ALL!
REVIEW: Where to start.. As far as the fighting games I've played for the PS1 so far, this is by far the easiest to learn! That being said.. it's still slow (not as bad as Battle Arena Toshinden), recovering from being downed is DREADFULLY slow. You can perform an 'air drop' (most of the time it looks like the People's Elbow), that the opponents love to spam when you're downed, and it does tons of damage.. You're basically defenseless. BUT, it's fast ENOUGH, and it feels fair ENOUGH, and the fights don't take too long, so you can swap characters and hop right back in. It's really not that bad.
The character models.. exist. lmao Look, they're not great, sure, but they have CHARACTER AND CHARM and you used to have to use your imagination to play games the farther back in game history you go! Not like nowadays :U WHERE YOU CAN SEE EVERY BLADE OF GRASS AND EVERY PEBBLE. anyway
The music is really catchy, but its too 'midi-keyboard' for me.
Theres also a Zordon lookin ass face in the background the whole time, I ASSUME hes the one commentating in the menus and in the game. Maybe theres some dark lore where the face has kidnapped all the contestants and he's holding them in a battle arena to fight to the death for his own amusment :O iuno i wasn't paying attention tbh, kinda wish i was.
