It took me a long time to get the hang of Yamato, and this was one of my first really good games in it. The first half of this match is nothing special, but with around 9 minutes left things take a turn for the worse. I did what I could to save this game, dealing over 200k damage and earning myself Kraken Unleashed, High Caliber, and Confederate. Sadly, "what I could" just wasn't enough.
I quite possibly threw the game away by wasting a couple of salvos on a North Carolina instead of prioritizing the Des Moines. I eventually got him, but not before he set three fires which eventually killed me as the enemy's last ship remained hidden. Either way I'm quite proud with this result--enough so that I'm not even salty about dying to fire, which usually has me raging on Discord for the next half hour.
