6I have a terrible fear of spiders, and it doesn't help that we have spiders in our basement. I never see any of them throughout the day, but at night, they come out and they sit on the walls. Our laundry room is in the basement as well and tonight I went down to do laundry. I could have waited until morning, knowing that there was going to be a spider there, but I felt that it was something I needed to do. I was so terrified to go down there, especially into the tiny laundry room in the basement that is unfinished.
I was so scared being in that tiny room because I kept thinking there might be a spider behind me or somewhere I couldn't see it. I didn't want to look anywhere because, being that it was a tight space, I knew if I saw a spider, I would freak out entirely. It felt like I was either going to pass out from the fear or that I would be sick because of it. This is one thing that I definitely don't want to do. Though, this may have been a bigger step in overcoming my fear of spiders. Fear of spiders is called arachnophobia.
