How does the matchmaking system for Overwatch 2 work under the hood? I got the opportunity to interview two OW2 developers on the state of matchmaking. Morgan Maddren the Senior Server Engineer, and Gavin Winter, the Senior Systems Designer. In this video I pose tough questions to the developers and gain their insight on what it's like balancing for a massively popular PVP game. How do you give enough information to where your playerbase is happy, but not too much so that the system gets abused? I appreciate both Morgan and Gavin's time as I am able to give you an exclusive insight on game design and the Overwatch 2 ranked system.
