I made a Create mod machine to manage all my inventory and i didn't even need to make brass!
4This Create vault-based inventory system arranges eight key components in front of a minimum 3x3x1 vault, centered around efficient automated item flow and user interaction. The upper-left packager, linked directly to the vault via a storage link, receives item pull requests from the stock ticker positioned centrally among the components. Below this packager, a chute drops the packaged requests into a second packager connected to the middle-bottom barrel, which acts as the unpacking storage. The top-middle barrel serves as the main input, with a packager on the right side linked to it, activated by a lever to package items pulled from that barrel. A chute beneath this packager drops packaged items into another packager connected directly to the vault, sending items inside. A seated chicken is positioned in front of the bottom-row barrel; interacting with the chicken retrieves items stored in that barrel, providing a tactile user interface to access stored goods. This setup automates item packing, unpacking, storage, and retrieval through a compact, well-organized Create contraption.
