Yeah so going off of the upload yesterday [ https://youtu.be/ZwlneCZNmIY ], I improved on the missile technology to the point where using an F-15, I was able to fire off a missile towards a target placed on the island runway (SE of the KSC), and allow it to be effective. The target was not completely destroyed, but if it were carrying a live warhead (current "explosive" used is a Mite SRB), would be able to inflict considerable damage to the airstrip, hanger, and target.

Again, the targeting is highly dependent on release velocity, climb rate, orientation relative to both the ground and to the target, as well as various others. The craft name being "F-15 Anti-Satellite" was due to me testing this craft as a potential Anti-Satellite weapon before trying it as a "cruise" missile.

Realistically, the F15 would have pulled back to avoid radar and anti-aircraft defences, however, due to physics limitations on KSP, a probe must remain within a certain distance of the current focused craft to be loaded while in an atmosphere. This also allowed me to conduct a flyby and assess the damage inflicted to the airstrip.

Yes the initial thrust of the missile was lower than the F15 with afterburners on. Yes it does resemble an AIM-9 Sidewinder on the outside.

More may come from these tests.
