This started out as a 3inches wide X 36 inches long X 3/16ths inch thick piece of flat steel bar.
The finished sword is 35.5 inches long (handle and blade) whilst the blade itself is 27 inches long and tapers from 3 inches wide down to 1 inch before the final rounding for the point. The handle is 8 inches long and wrapped in steel wire. The crossguard is 6 inches long and 1 inch wide, secured with solder and tension from the wire handle wrappings.
