I managed to force the resolution from TRUE 1080p in Psych Engine

yea i was fell down the vtuber rabbit hole in 2020 and i did not regret doing it myself

P.S: The FNF engine is RUNNING on Psych Engine, and it's not running on Forever Engine, it's on the UI Script.


So i was tired of playing psych engine in 720p game resolution even in fullscreen mode, the resolution stays the same.And I decided to force the resolution to 1080p and it was a pain to get it running.

Compiling the source was easy and setting the game resolution to 1080p works fine, although the UI is messed up cuz the game was meant to be for 720p. But some features are not functionable like Video Sprite Script causes to crash the entire game.


Notice: The Change Resolution Script is almost functionable to change the resolution to 1080p cuz sometimes the HUD is not auto changing the alignments. (the script is unstable when setting the resolution to 1080p)

Keep in mind, this script was meant to change it to 480p and it's not designed to upscale the game resolution to 1080p.


The pros of changing the resolution to 1080p:
- the strums are more wider than 720p
- the video background fits with 1080p resolution (if the video background is 720p, the video will be appeared on top-left corner instead of center)

The cons:
- the ui text are small
- the main menu are completely messed up because the game is designed for 720p
- the judgemennt system are too early or too late, depending to your offset settings and safe frames


All of the LUA scripts are used in this video are available in Psych Engine discord server, you can join the server if you want to get the lua scripts and especially HScript are also available for 0.7.x versions. (some of their LUA/HX scripts are available in gamebanana but some others aren't)
