I played Redfall, AND is not (that) Bad
5Is Redfall by Arcane Studios more of a hot read fail? Maybe. But it's not as bad, as some reviews might say. It's a competent, well-made game, that unfortunately does not do anything interesting. It's a basic looter shooter. There is very little in the gameplay that could surprise anyone.
That said - the general art direction and the feel of the game are pretty nice. There are some flashes ar Arcane brilliance. The overarching story is interesting, but of course that is all easy by coop looter shooter features.
I would not say this is a terrible game, it just does not live up to the standards of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Dishonored, Pret (2017) and Deathloop.
Arcane Studios can and should do better.
