I Tried Nintendo’s Music App 6 MONTHS Later… And It’s Missing EVERYTHING!
Nintendo finally launched a music app that could have been a dream come true for fans... but instead, it feels more like a huge missed opportunity. For something that was hyped as a "Nintendo Spotify," the actual music library is shockingly small. The pace at which new tracks are being added is painfully slow, and some of the most iconic soundtracks are completely missing. Where are the songs from Super Mario 3D World, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe, Zelda Majora’s Mask, Super Mario Sunshine, and so many others that defined our childhoods?
In this video, I dive into why the lack of variety is such a big problem, how it hurts the app’s potential, and what games desperately need to be added. From Pokémon’s classic Game Boy and DS soundtracks, to the unforgettable tunes of Xenoblade, Kid Icarus Uprising, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf — Nintendo has a goldmine of music they’re not using. Is it licensing? Poor planning? Or something else? Let’s talk about how Nintendo is dropping the ball — and what they need to fix if they want this app to actually succeed.
