18My blind let's play/ playthrough of Return to Monkey Island! It's been such a long time coming, and I never expected it, but Return to Monkey Island is finally with us! Ron Gilbert, Dave Grossman and co have released a brand new Monkey Island game that will finally answer the questions we had at the end of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge!
In this episode, we head off to look for our real parents, and realise we weren't playing as Guybrush at all, because we're Guybrush's son? We find Guybrush on a bench and he decides to tell us the story about the time he tried to beat LeChuck to the Secret of Monkey Island! Part 1 begins and we find ourselves back on Melee Island talking to the lookout! He informs us LeChuck is already about to head off on an expedition to find the Secret of Monkey Island, so we'd better hurry up and talk to the pirate leaders to get them to fund our own adventure! We head down to the SCUMM Bar, but find things have changed! Gone are the old pirate leaders, and in their place are younger pirates who seem to have no interest in us and our past pirate history! Looks as though we're on our own this time!
