I3-2120 + RADEON 7750 TOMB RAIDER BENCHMARK
2Just a short gameplay session and benchmark with my lady's desktop PC. Last fall I upgraded it's graphics to a Gigabyte Radeon 7750 1 GB GDDR5 (model GV-R1150C-1GI). It came factory overclocked at 880 MHz. My reason for getting this graphics card was it was the best card (AFAIK at the time) you could buy that didn't require an external PCI-E power connector, as my GF's Gateway desktop does not have a very powerful PSU, let alone the PCI-E power connector in the first place. The PC's main specs are as follows:
i3-2120 @ 3.3 GHz
Gigabyte Radeon 7750 1 GB @ 880 MHz
6 GB DDR3-1333
1 TB HDD
Overall the 7750 performs better than I would've expected in gameplay, even with tessellation and most settings at high values, with FXAA at 1600 x 900 resolution. Also it must be noted that MSI Afterburner, which I used to record, did lower the FPS by at least a couple frames. However the performance hit there was not as bad as I expected either.
