CDPR have just released a new update on the Witcher 4 progress and confirmed that the witcher 4 will be an entirely new Witcher game with its own saga spanning multiple new Witcher games. This new witcher game will feature a new witcher school called the Lynx school which has only ever been mentioned once in the Witcher 3 game files as the ID for the Cat School feline armor set. Until now the Lynx school has not existed in Witcher lore, so this new series of games will be based after the original Witcher 1, 2 and 3. This new Witcher game will be developed on Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) so exspect next gen graphics for the next witcher game. I suspect the new witcher 4 release date will be in several years after CDPR has finished Cyberpunk 2077 DLC updates. I suspect it will follow on after Witcher Season 3 -5 on Netflix and it will bring even more fans to the Witcher game series that have not yet tried the Witcher 3 gameplay.
