Slackware and Salix Linux-based GNU/Linux distribution Slackel 's 7.7 MATE version, designed with the Openbox window manager, has been released. While it is stated that the new version of the Slackware and Salix-based system is built on the 6.6.11 Linux kernel, it is stated that the system includes the latest updates in Slackware's 'Current' tree and is offered to users with xorg-server 21.1.10. It is said that the system, which supports booting in UEFI systems , can be installed on a 16 or 32 GB USB stick or SSD disk. While it is said that a swap partition of 2 or 4 GB size can be created depending on the memory available, it is reminded that it would be a good idea to read the Slackel Getting Started Guide before installing the system . System; It comes with updated software such as Mozilla Firefox 121.0.1, Thunderbird 115.6.1, Libreoffice 7.6.2, Gimp 2.10.36.
