This battle is epic! On the surface it seems like a spam-fest, but it has some depth if you want to get an A+/S. I got 1,696,585.

Here's my analysis:

Everyone says to use the flame daggers and I have to agree. The beginning of this fight is all about Damage Per Second (DPS). I read that at least one high combo is needed to get the trophy
for this fight, so the beginning is where it can be achieved easily. The constant attacks make Noctis run out of MP and fall into Stasis where Ignis can get free hits. I use Potion to avoid
losing too much max health.

After Noct loses a certain amount of health he will warp to the Hammerhead rooftop where he'll be waiting with a gun. I lucked out considerably here. When he reloads I get him trapped for a
second 40+ combo, which was awesome. This probably sped up the fight immensely. I don't like fighting on the rooftops because the camera gets weird and it's important to see Noctis, especially during the second half of the battle.

At this point, Noctis will start using Armiger. As far as I know he's invulnerable so the only way to defend is to become invulnerable yourself. I like to dodge until my MP is about to run
out and then use High Jump for several seconds of invulnerability to avoid the end of the attack. You could also spam High Jump, but there's moments where he can interrupt I find.

I use Elixir when it seems Noctis might start one-shotting me with his attacks. Since you cannot easily force Noctis into Stasis from here on out, it's important to maintain enough health to be able to take a hit and cancel the damage with the counterattack. This becomes the main method of doing damage to Noctis, but I prefer to use it mainly when Noctis gets his shield out. Most of his other weapons allow Ignis to put Noctis into an attack-dodge loop. Most noticeable with Noctis' large weapons. Attack once or twice and dodge, rinse and repeat. Any time you take a hit, be prepared to go for the counterattack. You can counterattack any and all of Noctis moves really, as long as you have the health to take the initial blow.

Then there's Noctis' Insta-death attack. Have to keep attacking him to avoid it. He got me good in the intro where I was unable to attack him from being in danger.
