Illusion of Gaia (SNES) Playthrough Part 69 - Final Boss: Chaos Comet & Dark Gaia

Will:
Wow, everyone who passed on is here. Except for mother...
Dragoon:
But instead you have Neil's parents (whom I don't ever recall you actually meeting this entire journey, but instead were the oddball Moon Tribe), and the Russian Glass Player (upper right-hand corner). Wait, I thought Seth was reincarnated as the giant fish that ate him...
Will:
How is Kara an evolved human? She doesn't really possess unique abilities like me, so the only reason she is the Light Knight is because she has the other ring.
Kara:
...
Shadow:
Now I feel much stronger.
Will:
You're just saying that because now you have a faster projectile compared to Freedan's Dark Friar.
Dragoon:
Dark Gaia's first form as Chaos Comet, is relatively straight forward, Shadow's Aura is a must to more efficiently avoid his fireball rain. You have to be very patient because you only get exactly ONE shot each time he opens his mouth.
His second form, is very reminiscent of Deathtoll's second form. He will continually toss projectiles at you, both bubbles and electro orbs. The bubbles can be deflected by your attacks while the electro orbs can only be deflected using your L or R guard. You can also use Shadow's Aura to block both, but that consumes too much time, only use it when absolutely necessary. The key strategy is to position yourself in the exact middle, this is the ONLY place you can inflict damage; when you L or R guard against the electro orbs, you deflect both as long as you're close to the middle, which saves time and prevents the bubbles from getting cheap shots on you while shielding. I seriously have no idea WHEN this boss opens his mouth, he seems to do it whenever he WANTS TO. I suggest you just keep attacking his head, eventually it should open up, at the same time, Shadow's long reaching arm should be able to pop those continually spawning bubbles. When he opens his mouth, be ready to use Shadow's Aura to avoid the massive light ray attack.
