In part seven of this Illusion of Gaia (Super Nintendo) playthrough, it's a breath of fresh air after Mu (not to mention the start of my favorite quarter of the game) as we get a little more character development going around for everyone as the group travels for days through a series of underground caverns. Lance confides in Will that he's developing feelings for Lilly, Erik is the same old Erik, and we even learn what happened to Seth. Once we finally get above ground, Kara has one of her less frequent spoiled outbursts and runs off to the nearby Angel Village where we have to save her from the painter Ishtar, who captures his subjects' true beauty on canvas by literally trapping the subject in the painting. Really a powerful moment really which brings Will and Kara closer, plus we get a fun little puzzle game to accomplish this rather than a typical boss battle.
