"I'm a winner. I'm a winner. I believe in me."
A brief set of conjoined clips from Transformers G1 Season 3: "The Big Broadcast of 2006" focusing on the Junkions - a race of Transformers with an entire culture built on human television broadcasts. Through the use of subliminal messages after gaining access to Planet Junkion's own broadcasting technology, the Quintessons attempt to reclaim an incriminating journal detailing their past nefarious arms deals revealing evidence of their involvement in stoking various conflicts around the galaxy, before the Autobots , Decepticons , and Junkions become aware of the contents within. This was definitely one of the odder episodes in the series since it went into the general idea of programming via targeted imagery. Also touches on the potential for information to reach remote distances quickly via media and have influencing effects whether intended or not. The episode itself was a bit of a peculiar approach by that particular team of writers who were among several brought in for Season 3 Episodes. Given that it was a cartoon intended for kids it doesn't feel ironic knowing the old school parental warnings about how too much TV "might rot your brain".
The Big Broadcast of 2006 was part of an unofficial 2-part miniseries. The conclusion episode of it: "The Quintesson Journal" immediately followed in the 3rd season.
There are no major spoilers to the Episode revealed here.
