This is the gift I received from my friend Gienek!
The missing link in my retro world, namely an ATARI and a 130XE! I remember being the only Spectrum player in our neighborhood, because the C64 reigned supreme, which I discovered through some cool friends. But ATARI? Totally uncharted territory. I glimpsed an 800XL somewhere, and once a 65XE at my cousin's. Its appearance made a huge impression on me. As for games, I remember jumping up and down trees and elbowing monkeys or people who looked like monkeys. So it was probably Tarzan. And recently I found out and had the opportunity to play the best version of RIVER RAID – on the ATARI. So, it's not so much a journey of reminiscing, but learning and discovering a previously unknown land.
And Gienek deserves huge thanks and respect for this gesture, for his generosity and his huge heart. Just to let you know that Gienek follows my channel, comments on my videos, and always has some cool story to share from the old days. And that's how we met. I recommend reading... Thank you, Gienek. Now, I'm off to work and getting started – not with a computer from the "enemy stable," but with a fantastic computer that many of us have fond memories of.
