I'm Noticing 3 Weird Yu-Gi-Oh Trends. What about you?
779I've been noticing three trends in Yu-Gi-Oh lately. The first trend is the state of reprint sets. There seem to be way too many reprint sets coming out, and they're all competing with each other. It's hard to keep track of what's new and what's old, and it's getting harder and harder to build a good deck without spending a lot of money.
The second trend is the increased emphasis on celebrity presence in Yu-Gi-Oh. I think this is a good thing, but it needs to be done in a way that's more engaging for fans. Right now, it feels like a lot of the celebrities are just being used to sell cards, and they're not really interacting with the community in a meaningful way.
The third trend is the increased emphasis on retro Yu-Gi-Oh products. I think this is also a good thing, but it needs to be done in a way that's more balanced with modern Yu-Gi-Oh products. Right now, it feels like all the focus is on re-releasing old cards, and there's not a lot of new and exciting stuff coming out for players to enjoy.
I'm hoping that these trends will change in the future. I'd like to see fewer reprint sets, more engaging celebrity content, and a better balance between retro and modern products.
