Impact of ICT Intensity on Productivity, Employment & Output in South Africa’s Agro Industries
Assessing the Nexus between ICT Intensity, Productivity, Employment and Output in South Africa’s Agro-processing Industries
Layman Abstract : This chapter looks at how using more ICT (Information and Communication Technology) affects the growth of South Africa’s agro-processing industries from 1994 to 2017. It measures how much ICT each industry used and compares that to how much the industry grew in terms of productivity, output, and jobs. The results show that industries that invested more in ICT experienced better growth. This means increasing ICT investment could help these industries become more productive and competitive.
