Being a new video to our channel, Impetuth has a powerful old-school vibe and is a cool shooter that feels like a combination of numerous old games, ranging from the MSX game "Undead Line" to a "Druaga + King's Knight" combo, "Knightmare", and more. You wanna hear something even more interesting? The musical composer for roughly half the game's music was Shinji Hosoe, who did music for many Namco games (especially during the early-mid 90s) like Dragon Spirit and Ridge Racer, and other works like Technic Beat, Under Defeat, etc. Given the vibe this game gives off and his overall expertise, he was perfectly suited for a game like this.

The game banks on its simple and clean visuals reminiscent of games from the 16-bit era and merges it with catchy ambient audio and classic gameplay. The game is a vertical-scrolling shooter of sorts where you play as a knight in golden armor (looks a lot like Gil in armor and sorta like Adol without it) who goes around destroying monsters and helping innocent bystanders while working his way to the final level where he saves the beautiful maiden princess (typical stuff in other words).

As you travel, you can get warriors who help you fight and rescue women who give more bonus points if they survive. The main way to grow stronger is to unearth many hidden treasure chests by shooting everything you can. You can also occassionally find staircases that lead to bonuses too. It's not very long, but it's fun while it lasts. Enjoy.
