Improv no. 42 in B
32Hey guys! I'm back! And boy, I've got loads to talk about...
I've been gone (at home, enjoying break) for about three weeks now, but I'm back at school, back to my piano, and back to making videos :) This hiatus has been hard for me to readjust...I need to get back into my groove. This improv is kind of a re-exploration of my style (I haven't played in so long that I'm a little worried that I've lost it). Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the improv. Be easy on me, haha, let me find my groove again!
Well, I've got lots and lots of projects that I've been working on lately! This month, I've been asked to do so many collaborations, so I'll probably work on a few of those in addition to my own music. This month specifically will be one with a lot of cool new songs that I'll be writing :)
A few stuff that's coming up: I'm going to begin writing sheet music for my "Summer Hearts" composition that so many of you have been asking me for very soon! I haven't had much time as of late, but once I do, I'll start that project! You can stay updated with the progress on my facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/DavidRussell
In addition, I've finally finished all my notes and journal entries for the "How to Improvise on Piano" video, and I'm going to begin filming this weekend. Hopefully, I can have the finished video for you by the end of this month at the latest.
Other things: I have at least two more collaborations lined up! One with the talented TeraCMusic (http://www.youtube.com/teracmusic) and another with one of my favorite youtube pianists, nathanielpiano (http://www.youtube.com/nathanielpiano).
And hopefully, I'll get to writing some other songs for you guys this month...I still have five notepads filled with songs I've yet to cover! Not to mention the inevitable new music videos from Lindsey Stirling that I'll cover. Ohh so much to do, and I'm so excited to get started!
Bear in mind that this semester is probably the most difficult I've ever had at college, so uploads may be a bit less frequent than they were last semester. Regardless though, I'll try to have at least one new video each weekend.
