Hi friends! I hope you enjoyed my rendition of this wonderful song! I just came in for my Christmas break, so it was a little difficult finding a new piano to record this on. Luckily, I stumbled upon an empty church near where I live. I'm going to use the piano in that building for my next few recordings this December :) Let's see...what's left to be done this year? A new Lindsey cover...a revisit of Summer Hearts...a few Christmas classics...hmm, oh! Right, and my Christmas Piano Medley 2012!
A few quick criticisms on this performance: the next time I play this, I want to do it a tad slower with a little more emphasis on the staccato part at the end. I think I also want that beginning (where I first played the theme) to stand out a little more, so I'll play that legato and mezzoforte. I need to work a bit more on my control of the piece too, and I think memorizing the song would help tremendously with that. Otherwise, I'm happy with how I managed to make the important notes from the beginning passage accented! I also like the rolling glissandos I threw in there occassionally--they added a very nice touch. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this performance :)
