The key improvement in the SMC technique here is the application of IPA before dropping the balls down. By adding the IPA, it stops the balls from spreading out all over the area and makes it very easy to fill the holes by simple rubbing with a gloved finger.
Note also that I start with the 2-ball corner technique to set the stencil down.
This isn't a revolutionary change, it's more a case of another small evolutionary adjustment to make life easier. I picked this technique up by accident when I spilled IPA on the stencil a few nights ago and noticed the difference.
Apologies for the lack of proper audio and the need to place some random Jazz in place of the silence; microphone was not on at the time.
