In this Unity devlog video, we made drastic improvements to our dream indie game's atmosphere. We also made the player's attack feel significantly more powerful. We also finished off the blessing system and made a few special announcements!

In part one, we'll show you how you can improve the mood and atmosphere of a game by adding simple elements like lighting, particle effects, and fog to the scene. These small details can really improve the look of your game and make the playing experience feel much more immersive.

Next we take a look at one of our old frame by frame animations, the player attack. We add a lot more movement to the animation, and clean up the slash effect to make it much more punchy and impactful. Some particle effects and camera shake really tie it all together in the end.

We also finish up the player upgrade system, the "Blessing System" by adding a rune game object that can be used to equip optional player upgrades. These upgrades make the gameplay customizable and add a lot to the game's replayability.
