Game dev can be HARD! And actually finding the Motivation to Finish an indie game can be even HARDER!
In this video, we take a look at exactly how much game development got done working on the same project part time* for just 3 months!
All in less than 3 minutes!
If you're new to our channel, we're Brandon & Nikki from Sasquatch B Studios. We sold our house to start our game studio, and work full time on building our business and making our game, Veil of Maia.
*For the purposes of this video, we are not counting hours spent building a business or things like marketing, research, planning, etc.
If you're just looking to finish a game, you don't need to work full time hours.
We counted up our "in engine" hours on average per week and found that our game is coming together in about 20 hours per week when you strip away all of that boring business stuff!
If you're looking to finish your own game, we hope you can find a little inspiration in that you can get a lot done in just a few months working a only few hours a day!
