Well Cowboy it was a good ride, but like all rides this one has unfortunately come to an end. Time now to ride off into the sunset for the last time, and at this time I would like to talk a bit about the amazing man and my Stepfather Ross Ramsey.

I was only a young boy in early Highschool when Ross came into my life. My mom told me that a lady she knew from a store told her she had a son that would be perfect for her. Before you knew it my mom had a date with him. My first impression was this guy seems pretty nice. He was a sharp, well dressed man who had a job at a bank nearby in Monterey. He also had a cute young son named Tyler who was in Elementary School. After that first date my mom and Ross hit it off.

Where to start with the memories, as there are so many. One of the early memories I have was going to the airshow with Ross. He would always get us into the sponsor tent where we would have some of the best seats in the house to watch all the action. We would get to eat delicious food and drinks all night. Then there was the Rodeo. Now we as kids had always gone to the Rodeo, but Ross stepped it up for us. He was on the committee and was able to get us into the back by the chutes to see everything up close. Ross would also get sponsor tickets for the Rodeo where all of us could eat and drink all we wanted. Which we especially liked when we were of drinking age lol. Here is another story for ya. When I was of driving age I got a big red lifted truck, and where do you think I liked to take it? The Salinas River was the place to take your 4x4. It just so happened that I got it stuck one time down there. It turned into a crazy night where some friends grabbed a tractor from T&A in Spreckels to try and get it out, only for the tractor to get stuck too. Luckily Ross' brother in law worked at T&A, and Ross was able to tell him so they could get my truck out as well as smooth things over with everyone. Thanks for that Ross & Steve! Ross also used to be quite the drinker in his younger days. Whenever we went out to dinner he would have is normal drinks, but for dessert he always had some Tuaca. One thing I respected so much was when Doctors told him he needed to stop drinking, he quit cold turkey and never really touched a drop again. Such a strong thing to do. You are such a Boss! I also want to take the time to thank you for introducing me to the snow and snowboarding. I had never even been to the snow until you arrived. We had so many good times in Tahoe and North Star. I will never forget them. Ross was always there to help me move too. Whether it was moving to AZ, back to CA, up to WA, or anywhere in-between, he would be there to help. Thanks Ross! You were also such a great chef. Your chicken is some of the best I have ever tasted. We also have so many memories of you on Thanksgiving getting the bird and gravy ready. Thanks for all your delicious meals Ross! Also thanks for letting me and Tyler listen to heavy metal and play guitar in the house and not yelling at us to turn it off lol. I could talk about the memories of you forever, but we will leave it hear and save others for stories when there are loved ones around.

As a man you were one of the best I have known in this lifetime. You were always so classy and well dressed. You were goofy and fun, yet stern and stubborn. You were super handy and always kept everything nice and tidy. You were always so professional and got your work done to the best of your ability. Most of all though, you were a people person. You loved to socialize with people, but you also loved to work with people and help them. You have touched soooo many peoples lives while you were here, and you touched mine as well. You may have not been my real father, but I see you like a father. I am going to miss you sooo much. I love you Ross!
