In memory of Etika. 🌹🖤
103,190I wanted to keep this video solely as my tribute to Etika, so I'll post my thoughts and experiences with him here in the description.
It's been over a week since we found out about his passing and it still feels so surreal. We're all gonna feel this loss for a long time to come. There will always be an empty space in the Nintendo community, on youtube, and in the hearts of fans worldwide. I discovered Etika aka Desmond Amofah back in 2014. I have been a big fan since then and he really changed my life for the better. His constant message of being yourself and motivating yourself inspired me to improve and try to achieve my own goals and dreams. His videos and streams got me through some tough times, as I'm sure he did for a lot of you as well. He's had a positive impact on everyone's lives and the community that he created is one of the best and most supportive on youtube.
The fact that he gave everyone permission to make highlights of his content is something that I'm extremely grateful for. Ever since the beginning of high school, editing videos for school projects and for my friends was a hobby of mine. I continued that hobby into University as well, but this time it was with university projects and Etika's stream content. I've been making edited stream highlights for Etika since January of 2017 and I've met some amazing people along the way. When Etika first noticed me and respected me as a stream highlighter back in 2017, that inspired me to work even harder and to learn more editing techniques in order to improve the quality of the stream highlights. When my channel hit 100K subscribers, he went out of his way to DM me saying congratulations and that this was a huge accomplishment not only for me but for the both of us. He also mentioned that he enjoyed my edits and my music. That was hands down the best moment in my entire journey on this platform. It's a day I'll remember for the rest of my life. I've always wanted to meet Etika in person, but unfortunately I'll never get the chance.
I miss you bro, we all do. Thank you for everything you've done for us as a content creator, and as a human being. You've brought smiles and laughter to the lives of millions. I hope your soul is at peace.

Those of you who are curious as to what I will do with this channel, I'm not entirely sure myself... but who knows, maybe I'll start uploading again some day. For now, it's farewell. Thank you guys for everything. Thank you, Etika.
It makes me sad to say this, but this will be my last Etika video/highlight.
