In Memory of Jay Briscoe - Dork Side of the Ring
13-time ROH World Tag Team Champion, Jamin Pugh (known to wrestling fans worldwide as Jay Briscoe), died at age 38 last night in a tragic car accident in Laurel, Delaware. Dork Side of the Ring recently covered the latest Ring of Honor Pay-Per-View, Final Battle, on our second episode that we streamed on December 11, 2022. That PPV is where the Briscoe Brothers claimed their 13th tag team championship title from FTR in one of our top 5 matches of the year, a double dog-collar match.
Jamin Pugh is survived by his wife, Ashley Pugh, his two daughters, Gracie and Jayleigh, and his son Gannon. We don't know the details of the accident yet, but both of his daughters were in the vehicle as well. Jayleigh has some pretty serious injuries, but is stable, but Gracie had surgery on her back and as of now, we don't know how that went.
Our deepest thoughts and condolences go out to the Pugh family at this tragic time.
