Years ago I put a nfc token in my watch strap so I could go straight from the surf to the shops when at the beach.

Now a second chip lives in the laminated leather strap of my pebble time steel, and I rarely have to carry a wallet.

The chip carries a token, so it doesn't store account details directly, and it's sealed inside a curved lamination which makes it perfectly waterproof and invisible. There's no bulk, just convenience.
