AVALON AIRPORT, 5 December 2018 – First AirAsia A330 has touched down at Melbourne Avalon Airport this morning, launching the first international services to and from Victoria's second airport in Melbourne's Southwest.

Avalon Airport today formally launched its new international terminal ahead of AirAsia flights commencing this week.

AirAsia estimates around 500,000 international passengers will pass through Avalon Airport in the first year of operation.
