Increasing yields with slurry spraying, sowing four crops | Elmcreek Farm | FS 22 | Timelapse #149
258Welcome back to the Elmcreek Farm Timelapse. Let's embark on a farming journey to maximize yields and cultivate a variety of crops. Starting at the BGA's vehicle parking lot, we connect a JOHN DEERE 1790 16-row seeder to a JOHN DEERE 8R 410 tractor, entrusting a hired worker to sow sunflowers. Meanwhile, we visit the store to acquire a platform truck and a loader trailer.
Upon returning to the farm, we load the slurry into double tanks and manure into the trailer for transport to the BGA. After delivering the materials, we proceed to the first fertilizer field with the Ploeger AT5104 LNMS slurry spreader. Our dedicated worker efficiently sprays the slurry as we accompany it with a tanker.
Next, we bring our reliable BIG BUD V16 747 tractor fitted with a HATZENBICHLER seeder to the prepared field and commence sowing barley. Once completed, we shift to another field to sow barley there as well.
After fertilizing the fields with slurry, we bring tractors with seeders there. The already familiar BIG BUD, partnered with the HATZENBICHLER, expertly sows canola, while the John Deere 9570 RT tractor, armed with the JOHN DEERE 1775NT seeder, takes on the responsibility of sowing soybeans.
Today's accomplishments are significant, with four large fields successfully fertilized using slurry, and four crops - sunflower, barley, canola, and soybeans - skillfully sown for a promising harvest.
