Incredible Custom BA-XY Ute
55In todays episode of Aussie Garage we talk to Yarnie about his incredible BA falcon XR8 Ute that he striped back to its bones and then grafted onto it an XY falcon body. Yarnie has achieved all this on his own in his modest home workshop. This build is awesome, its running all the standard running gear of the XR8, the boss V8 sits with its intended chassis and modern suspension and brakes while supporting the hand fitted, and in places hand crafted body and panels of the old school XY. This Concept idea made reality from Yarnies thoughts.
As you could imagine there were many compromises to getting it all to fit witch for me makes this build truly unique. The BA is longer than the XY so panels had to be stretched, wheel arches moved and many other modifications. The windscreen from the BA is the only part of the BA body to remain on the finished build witch gives it its really unique look.
