In this video, Incredible Shrinking Sphere, released in 1988 for the Atari ST by Electric Dreams.
The Sangfalmadore Run is a planetoid battle training arena, designed to push new recruits to the limits, but, recent seismic activities have caused faults on the planet's surface and the collapse of tectonic tiles. Colonel Matt Ridley, frustrated by his desk-bound job, took to the controls of a fighter sphere on the now unstable Sangfalmadore run. Our task is to take control of the Incredible shrinking sphere and locate Colonel Ridley in a maze of dangers like assassin spheres and collapsing tiles.
Graphically well designed with neat sprites, the game sports a good multi-directional scrolling and good chiptunes. Playability wise, I.S.S. is an isometric arcade-style puzzle game that requires 1000 eyes and reflexes in order to avoid traps and monsters, very well made and addictive.
