India vs South Africa | 3rd t20 match | Cricket 22 PC | Ind vs SA Live Match Today | Dream 11 TEAM
‘India have never defeated South Africa in a T20I series at home’ – this was probably the main discussion before South Africa’s tour to India commenced. But India finally managed to put an end to the discussions after securing the series in the previous game. After being put in to bat first the Men in Blue scored a mammoth 237 courtesy of some brutal batting from their top four. Suryakumar Yadav smashed a fiery 61 off 22 balls and ended as the highest run-getter for India. In reply, South Africa scored 221 thanks to a blistering ton by David Miller and a half-century by Quinton de Kock. They fought hard and took the game deep, but in the end, the runs were a little too many and they lost by 16 runs. We now shift our focus and attention to the third and final T20I of this enticing series. This will also be the last T20I for both these sides before the mega event in Australia later this month. The caravan now moves to the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore for the final T20I. The hosts have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in this series and will be looking to clean sweep, South Africa. Whereas, the Proteas will be aiming to end the shortest format series with a victory under their belt. Despite India's historic series win, they still have major concerns that need to be addressed. It's their bowling in the death overs. This has been an issue for the hosts since the Asia Cup. Their bowlers have been right on cue with the new ball, but when it comes to bowling in the slog-overs, they have leaked plenty of runs. Harshal Patel, who is a death-over specialist has not been able to click and India will need him to be back at his best to solve their bowling woes towards the end. Their batting though seems well-equipped. It's the top four who have done the bulk of the scoring and are looking in sublime touch. Suryakumar Yadav though has been their stand-out player after having scored back-to-back half-tons. He seems unstoppable at the moment, and there is no doubt that he will be a threat to the opposition, once again. With the series already in India's pocket, they have decided to rest KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Shreyas Iyer will most likely be included in the playing XI. It will be interesting who will be the other player coming in for the Men in Blue. South Africa on the flip side have failed to perform as a unit. It was the batting that failed in the first game, and in the previous game, it was their bowling. Their ace bowlers, Kagiso Rabada and Wayne Parnell were taken to the cleaners. They also opted for another pacer in Lungi Ngidi instead of Tabraiz Shamsi, but that backfired, as he went too went for many. Amidst all the carnage in the previous game, Keshav Maharaj was the only bowler who grabbed wickets and was economical as well. He will aim to continue his good work, while the South African seamers will look forward to being more disciplined. Their batting too has not been up to the mark. Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw are the two batters who have got out without scoring in both games. The duo will be eager to find their feet and get some runs under their belt. A huge positive for the Proteas is that David Miller was back at his brutal best in the last game and will be hoping he carries on with his form. The visitors will have to bring their A-game forward if they want to avoid a clean sweep. The pitch here in Holkar does support the seamers initially, but it is a relatively smaller ground so we can expect some fireworks again. So folks two teams playing their final game in the shortest format before the ICC T20 World Cup. Which team do you think will get over the line? Only time will tell.
