As I've created my own sprites and tilesets (in Aseprite) my indie game Metroidvania Speedrunner is starting to feel more real and more something of my own creation. Game Maker Studio 2 has been an incredible tool for getting my game up and running in such a short amount of time. All the basic logic is in place, and now it's time to just figure out how all the pieces fit together and start mapping out the world as a whole before I get into the details of decoration and perfecting lighting.
