Indie Game Quickie - A Look at 3 Free Indie Games! - Ribbert, Table Monster and Moira
7I like to find a few interesting games to play on the channel every so often. But lately, there hasn't really been much. Not until now that is.
Today I'm taking a look at three games you can try out for free. First a tech demo for The adventures of Ribbert, A frog infused platforming game. Then a quick play through of Table Monster, a silly quick game jam game about stuffing your face. Then lastly a longer look at an in progress gameboy inspired platform/adventure/rpg game called Moira.

Extremely early prototype for Adventures Of Ribbert. Jump, Slurp and Swing through this early demo. The demo highlights the vision the developer has for the full platform game. Controls are surprisingly solid for an early game. And the music is snazzy!

Requiring a controller to play, The game uses twin stick controls to help feed the table monster. Swing to hard and you may find it hard to feed them at all.

About Moira

Möira is an action platformer game that draws inspiration from the classic 8-bit portable games with a modern twist, memorable characters, lots of spells and awesome secrets! You play as Rubick, an young magician apprentice who’s searching for his missing master. In order to accomplish that, Rubick must travel through the Magic Kingdoms mimicking enemies’ powers and learning how to combine them using the staff his old master left to him.
Another important feature in Moira is the ability to combine powers you’ve learned. Not all the powers in the game are combinable, though. Some enemies will only take damage from a specific combination, so, if you ever come into trouble fighting one of the bad guys, think outside the box!
