11What makes RWR so good is also its undoing. You are one man in a giant battle and you must work together unified under one banner to claim victory. This makes every encounter deadly and tactical. You must hide for cover and flank your enemy. No heroes here, just those who lived and those who died. You don't feel like an uber bad ass when you spawn. Your just a lowly soldier. However to help you, an array of weaponry and devices. From grenades, to mortar strikes. However you cannot use any of these things at first. Starting at the rank of Private you only have access to basic equipment. You must prove yourself in battle. This is easier said then done. While the single player campaign can be enjoyed without penalties. In multiplayer, death makes you lose EXP which hinders progress towards unlocking more weapons and tactics. Without decent players to back you up. This will happen often. Which leads to constant running back and dying. Rinse repeat. While this makes RWR intense and think on your feet. A random bullet is still just about enough to kill you. Players are what make and break this game. So with a group of friends this game can be ridiculous fun. On your own? Yes, if your patient.
