IndieView - Duck Game
7Adult Swim Games never fails to impress me. They have a great catalog of games that they have published. Despite this, I was skeptical about Duck Game. The concept seemed silly. I just didn't see what the appeal was. However I was happily proven wrong. Duck Game is a insanely fun and frantic game. While the game does feature a single player arcade mode. The main highlight is the multiplayer. Which is a blast from the first to last match. With weapons and strategies flipping and changing constantly as you go through the 50 levels. That might be a small room with grenades. A forest area with four sets of Knight's armor. Perhaps a futuristic set up with teleporters and plasma weapons. The combinations are always fresh and keep things moving at an exhilarating pace. With simple controls anyone can just jump in and instantly start having fun. With more experienced players having an advantage knowing what weapons do what. Aesthetically Duck Game is also surprisingly pleasing as well. With nice level design, hats, and enough quacking to make Emilio Estevez blush.The only negative I can point out is that the game has a bad habit of crashing. Randomly, without reason. This could be a day 1 bug and hopefully eventually patched out. However as multiplayer is the primary draw here. It's something to keep in mind. If your looking for a good way to blow off steam with friends or online. Duck Game is great choice for a party game. I only wish there was an 8 player mode for some truly dynamic insane matches.
